![]() ![]() ![]() I see no compelling reason, since my Monaco is "good enough" at the moment. Might be that that can evaluate both display profiles.īut I guess I'm in the market for a new screen next yearĪnyhow: Would I buy this? At the moment (in my case): No. I don't have time now, but I might be able to give BasICColor Display 4 a try at the end of next week. (1 Delta E is visible, if seen side by side AFAIK) Neither software can evaluate the others profile Have to ask them what would be the best option.Īlso, Monaco reports a Delta E of about 1.2 average, yet ColorEyes gets it at 0.3 (best, with lower luminance) to about 0.7 (at 100Cd/m^2). At the cost of a slightly higher Delta E. If I set a higher value for brightness, the bump in the LUT gets smaller, and I do reach 100Cd/m^2. The ColorEyes software has no trouble with the blackpoint ("minimum is fine with us"), but if I set the brightness as recommended by the software, I get quite a bump in the foot of the Display LUT curve, and a luminance of about 80. The G5 has a Radeon9600, my G4 had a Radeon 8500 (flashed). Might have something to do with the video card, dunno if that's possible. One thing to note is that since I got my G5, the Monaco Software tells me the "black point is too low", so I have to set that manually. "I think the idea of art kills creativity" - Douglas Adams If I find the time, all try to compare all 3. ISTR that BasICColor was faster then this as well. Software takes (quite a bit) longer then the Monaco Optix software to calibrate. Not a big visible diference as far as I can tell. (Monaco software cannot evaluate the Datacolor profile for some reason) Not too fond of that.Īverage Delta E is reported as smaller then what my Monaco Optix software gives, but I haven't been able to test it in independant software. Has been quite a while that an installer insisted on closing all applications *and* reboot after installing. ![]()
